You will work with our customers at ethanol plants across the US to learn their processes, understand their challenges, and deliver products and services from Novonesis’ wide portfolio. This will require strong collaboration both with the ethanol producers and the Novonesis Bioenergy team. In this role you’ll make an impact by: You should be a strong logical thinker with the ability to solve complex technical problems and communicate in an understandable and convincing manner. In addition, you should have a business understanding of how the science will impact economic factors for Novonesis and our customers. In this dynamic and evolving industry, you will need to be able to adapt to exciting and ever-changing information and technology. To succeed you must hold: Minimum of a BS degree in a scientific field such as Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the Ethanol industry or Agricultural industry. Solid science background, including engineering, data analysis and fermentation. An ideal candidate will have both process experience in the ethanol or corn milling industry and experience working in a technical service or technical sales role. Ability to travel approximately 50%. The job level can potentially be adjusted to accommodate applicants with significantly more experience. Location: This position will be based out of a home office in the Midwest to best serve our customers in the US corn belt. Application deadline: March 27, 2026 Expected salary range: $81,000-$135,000

Process Engineer

Role Overview Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits (LBDS) is looking for a Process Engineer to join our team at the production facility in Wahpeton, North Dakota. In this role, you’ll help improve the safety, efficiency, and performance of our yeast manufacturing operations by working on process improvements and capital projects. You’ll collaborate with a variety of teams across the site to solve technical challenges, support new initiatives, and drive continuous improvements in our operations. Key Responsibilities o Lead and support capital projects (CAPEX) from design through installation, commissioning, and hand‑off, ensuring safety, budget, and timeline alignment. o Optimize manufacturing processes across fermentation, utilities, sanitation, and packaging to improve efficiency, yield, reliability, and cost. o Analyze process data and performance trends using control systems and analytical tools to troubleshoot issues and strengthen process control. o Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process specifications, drawings, SOPs, and change‑control records. o Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, supporting equipment selection, scope definition, and quality installation. o Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production and Maintenance to support new technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Overview Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits (LBDS) is seeking a Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at its Dakota Yeast production facility. This role is responsible for overseeing daily fermentation, sanitation, and packaging activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of yeast, while meeting operational, cost, and delivery objectives. The Production Manager plays a key leadership role in driving plant performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities o Lead and execute production operations across fermentation, sanitation, and packaging to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. o Manage and develop the manufacturing team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management, while reinforcing strong safety and quality standards. o Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and industrial safety regulations, maintaining accurate documentation and a strong safety culture. o Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot process issues, using data, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to address risks to quality, safety, or efficiency. o Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, equipment and sanitation improvements, and approved capital projects. o Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D to support operational reliability, maintenance readiness, and process or product improvements.
