In Canada’s most affordability-focused election cycle in a generation, ethanol’s role in reducing fuel costs barely came up.
Growth Energy announced on May 8 that the total number of retail locations selling E15—a more affordable fuel blend made with 15% American ethanol—now totals more than 5,000 stores, marking a new milestone in E15 availability.
The USGBC and Sanyang Motor, in partnership with the Tmabun Association, launched the Bioethanol Mobility Initiative to support indigenous communities in Taichung’s mountainous region and test the efficiency of E10 in the area.
Renewable Volume Obligations for 2026 and 2027 were finalized in March, with higher volumes than proposed in June 2025, and reallocation of 70% of small refinery exemptions.
