Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig announced on March 20 that the Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program board has approved 33 ethanol infrastructure grants, supporting projects at fuel retailers in 25 counties across Iowa.
Ohio Reps. Josh Williams, R-Sylvania Twp., and Roy Klopfenstein, R-Haviland, on March 18 held a press conference to introduce new legislation that would require the sale of E15 blended fuel at all Ohio Turnpike service facilities.
Legislation introduced in the Minnesota Legislature in mid-March aims to establish a biofuel incentive program that would provide eligible fuel retailers with a payment of 5 cents per gallon for the sale E11-E15 blends.
Iowa’s cost-share Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Program on March 11 awarded $1.84 million in grants for 34 applicants to add higher blends of ethanol to retail sites, according to the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
