The U.S. EPA has approved a fuel pathway filed by Summit Next Gen LLC for the production of renewable diesel and SAF from undenatured sugarcane ethanol. The pathway was approved on Jan. 6 and publicly released by the agency on April 20.
The U.S. EPA on April 10 approved a Class VI well permit filed by PureField Carbon Capture LLC for a CCS project near Russell, Kansas. The permit allows PureField to inject CO2 generated from ethanol production into the subsurface.
UNICA, the Brazilian sugarcane industry association, has released ethanol production and sales data for the first half of March, reporting that sugarcane milling began to increase ahead of the start of the 2026-’27 harvest season.
The RFA has released a fully updated Ethanol Emergency Response Training Program, introducing expanded training resources and a new online learning platform to better support emergency responders and industry personnel.
As Minnesotans continue to face increasing prices at the pump, the Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) launched a campaign in the Twin Cities metro area on April 15 to help consumers save at the pump with Unleaded 88.
