Nova Pangaea Technologies (NPT) is a clean technology company headquartered in the UK that has developed REFNOVA®, a proprietary patented carbon negative production technology process that converts woody and non-food derived agricultural residues into high value 2G/cellulosic ethanol and biochar. The 2G ethanol can be converted through the alcohol to jet (AtJ) pathway to make Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The biochar has applications for soil enhancement, in cement, asphalt, and in high performance composite materials, but is a form of CO₂ sequestration and thus generates carbon dioxide removal credit value.
